September, 2003: After 15 years of practicing principally criminal defense at another firm, David Eldridge forms Eldridge & Blakney, P.C., with partner Tasha Blakney
October, 2003: Karen Parr joins Eldridge & Blakney, P.C., to serve as Legal Assistant to Tasha Blakney.
June, 2004: Mary Lou Freeman joins Eldridge & Blakney, P.C., as Accounting Manager, and then becomes Office Manager/Legal Assistant to David Eldridge two years later.
October, 2004: David M. Eldridge is certified as a Criminal Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization.
2005: David Eldridge serves as President of the Knoxville Bar Association (KBA).
2005: Tasha Blakney receives the KBA President’s Award
June, 2006: Tasha Blakney receives the TBA Young Lawyers Division’s President’s Award
October, 2006: Attorney Loretta Cravens joins Eldridge & Blakney, P.C. as an associate attorney after clerking with the firm.
2006-present: David Eldridge annually named in the “Best Lawyers in America”.
2006-present: David Eldridge annually named in the “Top 100 Lawyers in Tennessee” in Mid-South Super Lawyers Magazine.
2006-present: David Eldridge annually receives the highest peer rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.
August, 2007: Tasha Blakney graduates from the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section’s Leadership Academy, as one of only 26 lawyers chosen nationwide
December, 2008: Tasha Blakney is elected to a three year term on the Knoxville Bar Association’s Board of Governors
2008: Tasha Blakney is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
2008: David Eldridge is selected as a Fellow of the Knoxville Bar Foundation.
January, 2008: Tasha Blakney is listed in the Greater Knoxville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”
August, 2008: Eldridge & Blakney celebrates its one year anniversary in its renovated office space in the historic Cherokee Building in the heart of downtown Knoxville. The attorneys and staff of Eldridge & Blakney, P.C., are proud to be a part of Knoxville’s thriving downtown community.
September, 2008: Tasha Blakney is selected for Membership in the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. (Membership limited to one third of one percent of the lawyers in America.)
January, 2009: Eldridge & Blakney receives an award for participation in the Tennessee Supreme Court’s pro bono initiatives.
May, 2009: Tasha Blakney is appointed by Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen to the Tennessee Community Services Agency Board of Directors.
January, 2010: Troy S. Weston joins the firm as an associate attorney.
January, 2010: David Eldridge is selected as a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.
June, 2010: Tasha Blakney becomes President of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division
January, 2011: Best Lawyers in America names David Eldridge as Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year for Knoxville.
